Saddle Up for kids!

Partnering to Bring God’s Truth to the Next Generation.

Saddle Up for Kids!

Saddle Up for Kids is a dynamic school outreach experience where professional horse trainers use real-time training with live horses to teach unforgettable lessons about faith, obedience, trust, leadership, and transformation through Christ.

Through captivating visuals and storytelling, students see firsthand how God works in our lives to shape us, lead us, and draw us closer to Himself. These assemblies are designed to add value to schools, promote strong character, and most importantly—open the door for after-school Bible Clubs that continue to point students to Jesus.

Let’s Ride!

We believe every child deserves the chance to encounter God’s truth, experience His love, and discover their purpose. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a special partnership with Dr. Lew Sterrett and the team from Sermon on the Mount to support churches across America through Saddle Up for Kids. Sermon on the Mount is a ministry known for their powerful, Christ-centered horse demonstrations that visually illustrate biblical truths & Sermon on the Mount.

How It Works

Saddle Up for Kids is a three-part outreach experience that brings together the beauty of horse training, the power of storytelling, and the truth of the Gospel. Each event is designed to build upon the next, creating momentum, excitement, and open doors for long-term spiritual impact.

📚 1st Visit – School-Wide Assembly:
Inspiring Character. Sparking Curiosity. Opening Hearts

This captivating school assembly features a live horse demonstration and a character-building lesson that resonates deeply with students and educators alike. With lessons on trust, obedience, leadership, and responsibility, Dr. Lew Sterrett uses real-time horse training to teach timeless truths in a way kids will never forget.

➡️ Bonus: At the end of the presentation, all students are personally invited to attend the after-school Bible Club hosted by a local church.

✝️ 2nd Visit – Bible Club Presentation:
Building Faith. Sharing Hope. Inviting Friends.

Several weeks after the assembly, the team will return—this time to the after-school Bible Club. This special club meeting serves two key purposes:

  • Inspire kids to bring their friends. The excitement of a return visit encourages students to invite classmates who haven’t yet come.

  • Present the Gospel clearly. Through the horse demonstration and a focused Bible lesson, children are given a chance to hear about God’s love and salvation in a personal and powerful way.

🏠 3rd Visit – Community Event:
Uniting Families. Proclaiming Truth. Pointing to Jesus.

To bring it all together, a community-wide event is hosted at a local arena, church, or public gathering place. Families are invited by their children to attend and experience the transformation they’ve been hearing about firsthand.

  • Gospel-centered and family-focused

  • An opportunity for parents to hear the message of Christ

  • A powerful way to connect the church with the community

This is the heart of the mission—to see not just children, but entire families come to know and follow Jesus.

FAQs

What is the purpose of this training?

This training is meant to equip Christians to utilize their passion for Jesus and love for horses to be part of supporting after-school Bible Clubs in local elementary school. Bible Clubs are an unparalleled way to engage local communities with the gospel. Our training covers the basics of getting started, how to practice with your horse and present three different lessons. Training will focus on safety, delivery, public speaking, horsemanship, and working with children.

Who is this Training for?

Anyone who’s interested in making a difference for God’s kingdom who has a horse and trailer! Regardless of your age, you can be part of reaching children for Christ.

What does this ministry outreach entail?

The main focus of this outreach program is to reach children with the gospel. A great way to do this is through after-school Bible Clubs. An after-school Bible Club usually happens once a week right after school and lasts between 1-2 hours. The horse presentation will be between 30-60 minutes.

How would this outreach impact a community?

An established Bible Club can benefit the community in many ways. The salvation of children attending is one obvious benefit. These children can then be discipled intentionally (through a church Sunday school or a special kids’ program).

Developing relationships with the families of club kids can open up ways to meet practical needs within their community. There are also many opportunities to minister to the needs of the school and teachers.

How much does the training cost?
